Another “With Sympathy” Birthday Card

| | | |

Before I show you my card, I wanted to thank you for all of the sweet emails that many of you sent me about my car accident. I am touched that so many of you took the time to email me to let me know how glad you were that my kids and I were ok. That means so much to me. Thank you!! Here’s an update in case you are curious. It looks like I did a number on my suspention when I hit the sidewalk so it will be needing more than just new tires and rims. Thank goodness for insurance. Here’s the real bummer… I was told that even though I had a witness AND the guy who cut me off came back and took responsibility, I may still be held liable because I didn’t hit him. Can you believe that? I did all I could to avoid hitting him and because of it I may be held responsible. Crazy! Even if that happens, I am still glad I avoided hitting him. We could all have been hurt.

Anyhoo…here is my card for the day:
I used my Papertrey With Sympathy set for another birthday card like the one I posted last week. The sentiment came from Papertery’s Mixed Messages set. This one was for my niece Sarah. Hope she likes it.Stamps: Papertrey With Sympathy, Mixed Messages
Cardstock: Papertery Berry Sorbet & White
Ribbon: CTMH Baby Pink Ribbon Rounds
Inks: CTMH Hollyhock, Baby Pink, Sweet Leaf
Other: Cuttlebug Tag Dies, Foam Tool, 3-D Foam Squares

I’m not sure why, but I have been creating super simple cards lately. I love spending a lot of time on cards and creating fun “mini works of art,” but for some reason I have been on an “easy streak” lately. LOL! Plus there is just something about a simple card that sometimes makes more…

Yikes. It has been way too long since my last post. Sorry everyone. The end of the month gets a little crazy for me. This month was no exception. I had to get my two CTMH newsletters ready to send out which took longer than normal for me. (One is for my customers and one…

  1. This card is so very pretty!

I’m in shock that you may be held responsible because you DIDN’T hit the guy? HUH? I’m sure there is some weird logic to it, but I would think that avoiding pain and injury is a good thing…not something to make you liable. Sigh…so sorry to hear of it.

You have the right attitude…no one was hurt and that is the most important part. Sorry to hear about your car, but it can be fixed, right? YOU and your kids are more important than “stuff.” Hang in there! And big HUGS to you!

  2. So pretty, and your card boxes are amazing. About your accident, I’m sorry but so glad you and the kids weren’t hurt. As for being responsible because you didn’t hit him, that’s crazy, although I’ve never been able to figure out the logic of insurance companies. Take care!
