You’re in my Thoughts Sympathy Card

| | | | |

While I really love making all kinds of cards, sympathy cards are a little more special. When I need to send a sympathy card, instead of using a card from my stash, I like to make them specifically for the recipient because I like to pray for them and their family while I make the card.

I made and sent this card today for a friend who just lost her father. As someone who lost her father at a fairly young age, I know the giant hole that can be left when a girl loses her Daddy, no matter how old she is. I wanted my card to convey the message that I am thinking about and praying for my sweet friend.

To make this card, I used the following supplies: Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder, Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack, Labels & Layers Ephemera Pack, Stylish Shape Dies, Thoughtful Expressions Stamp Set (sentiment), Brushed Brass Butterflies, Gold Foil Sheets, Balmy Blue Cardstock, Basic White Thick Cardstock, Early Espresso Ink Pad.

  1. Lisa, my husband and I lost our son July 15th to cancer. He was 42, married less than 3 years with a baby boy. This card would be worthy of our tragedy. It’s so beautiful.

    1. Oh Dona. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it must be to lose a child. I will keep you, your daughter-in-law, your grandson, and the rest of your family in my prayers. 🙏
