A Gold & White Congratulations Card

One of my favorite things about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is celebrating the accomplishments of my team members! One of my team members recently promoted to Gold, and I wanted to send her a card and gift to celebrate her achievement.

Of course, I had to use gold on the card! The combination of white, gold foil, and gold heat embossing felt perfect for celebrating her new title. Along with the card, I’ll also be sending her a special jewelry gift from Brighton. I hope she enjoys both surprises!

Creating the Card

For the focal point, I used the star dies from the Shining Stars Dies, which is the October Product of the Month! I love how the layered stars and gold details make this card feel extra special. I started by die cutting the large star from Basic White Thick cardstock, then embossed the negative piece with the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder. I layered a piece of Gold Foil Sheet onto a white card base and added the embossed layer on top.

Next, I stamped floral images from the Everlasting Thanks stamp set onto the die cut star using VersaMark ink, sprinkled them with Gold Embossing Powder, and heat set them. I placed the star back into its opening using two layers of Stampin’ Dimensionals, allowing the gold foil to peek through the edges.

I also die cut two smaller stars from Gold Foil Sheet, adding gold heat embossed floral details to the medium star. The sentiment, from the Poetic Petals stamp set, was heat embossed in gold and attached across the center of the large star with Mini Dimensionals.

To finish the card, I colored a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the dark Golden Glow Stampin’ Blends Marker for a little extra sparkle. Inside, I heat embossed more floral images along the bottom edge to coordinate with the front.

I love how the gold details tie everything together, especially for celebrating her new Gold title!

October Product of the Month

The Shining Stars Dies are the October Product of the Month, and you can get the set of 23 dies for just $5 with a qualifying $75 order! I used these dies to create the stars on this card, and they’re perfect for celebrating all kinds of special occasions.
