‘Tis the Season Poinsettia Christmas Card

I had so much fun creating this card for our team holiday card swap! I wanted to create something a little elegant and festive, and I absolutely love how the combination of Barely Blush and Silver turned out.

One of my favorite details on this card is the beautiful Barely Blush Pearlized Cardstock that I used for the poinsettia. This cardstock is part of the new 2026-2028 In-Color Pearlized Cardstock pack, and it adds such a pretty shimmer to the flower. It really is much prettier in person than it looks in the photos! The subtle pearlescent finish gives the poinsettia a lovely softness and elegance that is hard to capture in a photo.

For the background, I used Barely Blush Cardstock embossed with the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder. I love the texture this folder adds! I layered it onto a piece of Silver Foil Sheet to create a thin border and used the same Silver Foil Sheet to die cut the leaves and center of the flower.

The poinsettia and silver leaves were created using the Pretty Poinsettia Dies. These are actually Impressions Dies, which means they do more than just cut! After die cutting the pieces as usual, you run them through the Cut & Emboss Machine a second time using the Impressions Plate. This adds beautiful embossed details and dimension to each piece, making the petals and leaves look even more realistic. I love the extra depth and texture this technique creates!

I used the second largest scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Christmas Cheer Dies to die cut the white layer. I stamped the greeting from the Pretty Poinsettia stamp set with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder to coordinate with the silver foil accents.

I really love how all of the textures and metallic details came together on this card. It was such a fun one to create and share with my Stampin’ Up! team for our holiday card swap! 🩷
