Embossed Friends Cards

| | | | |

I created these cards for two of my sweet friends. One is a thank you card for a friend who was kind enough to spend some time helping me with my business and the other is a congratulations card for a good friend/team member who just promoted.

To create the cards, I embossed the floral stamp from the Layers of Beauty set with gold embossing power on a piece of watercolor cardstock. Then I used my water brush with various ink colors to add a soft ombre background. I attached that piece to a card base. Then I die cut the word friend from the Friends for Life bundle out of another piece of watercolor cardstock and stamped/embossed a sentiment to the panel. The “You are Amazing” sentiment is from Sentimental Park.

I swiped the edges of the panel with some Versamark ink and then heat set some gold embossing power to give the edges a thin gold border. I adhered the panel to the card base with some Dimensionals. The butterfly in the upper left corner is from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set. To finish off the card I added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Here is a full list of all of the supplies used on the thank you card.
