Ivy Lane Sunburst Mother’s Day Card

| | | |
I thought it would be fun to use the Ivy Lane papers to make a sunburst Mother’s Day card. You can actually use any of the various sentiments in the Holiday Tags stamp set on this card, but since Mother’s Day is coming up, I thought I would use the “Happy Mother”s Day” sentiment.

The trendy sunburst is easy to create. I cut (4) pieces of Ivy Lane patterned paper and (1) piece of Pink Glitter Paper to 1½” x 4½” and then cut them each again from corner to corner to make triangles. I lined them up and adhered them against each other onto a piece of 5″ x 3″ cardstock letting the excess hang over the edge. Then I trimmed off all of the excess around the top and side edges.

I matted the sunburst piece to a piece of 3¾” x 5″ cardstock and added a small piece of scalloped  Hollyhock cardstock that I made with the Scallop Border Punch behind it. Then I double matted it to a Colonial White A2 sized card base.

The Mother’s Day sentiment and scallop circle came from the Holiday Tags stamp set. The scallop circle image coordinates with the Artiste Cricut cartridge which makes it easy to mass produce this card. (Did you know that you can get the Artiste Cricut Collection or any of our other exclusive cartridges for FREE this month? Check out this post to see how.)

Since the outside looks like a sunburst, I thought the “sunshine” sentiment from the Gift a Lift stamp set was perfect for the inside.

I can’t wait to make more of these cards with different papers and different sentiments. They will be good additions to my card stash. *Ü*
