Coneflower Celebration Birthday Card

| | | |

I had so much fun creating this cheerful card using the new Coneflower Celebration stamp and die bundle. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorites! There are so many ways to layer, color, and customize the elements in this set. Here’s a peek at how I put this card together:

🌼 Building the Bloom

I started by stamping the large coneflower image onto a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock using Crushed Curry ink. Then I die cut the image using the coordinating die.

To add even more dimension, I die cut another flower layer from Daffodil Delight cardstock using the petals only die, added a touch of Daffodil Delight ink to the top with a Sponge Dauber, and finished it off by brushing on a bit of Wink of Stella for a soft sparkle.

🌻 Flower Center Details

The flower center was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock and cut with the matching die. I hand trimmed the edges slightly and gently sponged on some more Early Espresso ink to darken the edges and give it extra depth.

🍃 Stems, Leaves & Butterfly

The stem, leaves, and butterfly were all stamped in Memento Black ink, then colored in with various Stampin’ Blends markers. I couldn’t resist adding a little Wink of Stella to the butterfly’s wings. It adds just the right amount of shimmer.

🧱 Creating the Background

For the background, I used the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder to emboss both the top and bottom of a piece of Basic White Thick cardstock. Embossing it twice leaves a smooth strip in the center, which was perfect for stamping the sentiment.

💛 Finishing Touches

I matted the embossed piece onto a layer of Secret Sea cardstock and adhered it to the card base. Then I arranged and adhered the flower and butterfly to complete the card.

This bundle is such a joy to play with and is perfect for summer cards, birthdays, thank yous, and more. I love how the layered petals and dimensional elements bring the flower to life.

Have you used the Coneflower Celebration bundle yet? I’d love to see what you’ve created! 🩷
