One way to save those favorite baby clothes

|

After my first child was born, I wanted to save EVERYTHING. Being a scrapbooker, I am sort of a hoarder of all things. Ya just never know when it may come in handy on a layout. *Ü* Well, after keeping boxes and boxes of clothes, I finally decided that maybe it would be better to take a picture of my favorite outfits instead. So, I pulled out the clothes that had particular meaning to me and laid them down on the ground. I took a picture of each item. I then shrunk them down on the computer and printed them out on photo paper. After cutting each one out, I knew I had to scrap them somehow. So, I found these cute little clothespins at Michaels and created this layout. The clothes each have a pop dot behind them to give them some extra dimension. Each time I look at the layout, I remember how much we loved those tiny little socks with the ABCs on them and that adorable little bomber jacket. The onesies and the overalls are just things that he wore a lot.

Here’s a close up of that cute jacket.

The alphabet stickers are from that massive pack from QVC and I have no idea where I got the paper. The cute 3-D flower and bird stickers are from K & Company.

  1. What an awesome idea Lisa. Shrink the pic’s of the clothes on your computer to fit the page. Brillant idea! Love your header for your title page. 🙂

  2. Love this idea! Maybe I should go through the bin of clothes I saved. My dh has been trying to find someone to make a quilt out of my favorites for me. In the meantime, I may have to scrap them 🙂

  3. What a wonderful idea, Lisa! I have a hope chest full of clothing from both of my daughters and this is a great way to use them in their baby albums! You always have great ideas! Thanks for sharing them with me!
