Moon Doggie Layout and Card

| | |

Have I mentioned how much I love the new Moon Doggie Paper? I created a layout today using the Portrait Collection template from CTMH’s Cherish Book. I created a card a couple weeks ago using a template from CTMH’s new Wishes Book and when I couldn’t figure out what to add on the bottom of the layout, I happen to lay the card on top and a light bulb turned on (over my head) and I had a great idea. (That doesn’t happen too often. LOL!) I decided to use the card on my layout. Actually I made a new card that used a different sentiment, but I think it works. I love that I was able to use one of my cards on a layout! Here is the card I made a couple weeks ago…
And here is my layout…
All supplies are CTMH unless otherwise noted:
Stamps: Extreme Happiness, August Word Puzzle (flips flops), Sensational Seals, February Word Puzzle (curved dots on card)
Inks: Cranberry, Indian Corn Blue, Garden Green, Desert Sand
Paper Packet: Moon Doggie
Other: Sparkles, Holiday Buttons, Waxy Flax, Foam Tape, Coluzzle, Foam Sponge

  1. both cards are beautiful. So clever to use the card for the layout, hidden journaling. I feel so good when I do something like that. I know simple minds and all that.

  2. Awesome! Loved the card and that you can also use the design in a layout is terrific. Now that's using your noodle! LOL

  3. Awesome job Lisa. The card and layout are both fab by themselves but together, they're a match made in heaven.

  5. The first time I made this card was when Jeanette posted it on her blog. But the directions weren't really clear and they aren't in the Wishes book either… you just have to put 2 and 2 together to realize you have to glue the ends shut.

Really though, I would NEVER have thought to put a card on a layout. This is such a great idea.

  6. Lisa, what a perfect layout! Love the card as a decorative element and journaling spot! Fabulous!

  7. your work is awesome as always.

Kathy, my secret is that I always use my CTMH Micro-Tip Scissors to cut things out like this. They give me so much control. I love them! *Ü*
