H2H Challenge – Oh Baby!

| | |

This week’s Heart 2 Heart Challenge is all about babies. The challenge is to create a baby-themed card, gift item, etc. I created this simple little card for a baby girl. I used one of my favorite new products, the Irresistibles Eclectic Chipboard Die-Cuts. I just LOVE these things. You can color them any color you like by sponging ink on them and then the “hidden” pattern that is on each letter pops. (My kids love watching me make the ‘magic pattern’ appear.)

I inked the letters with Baby Pink ink. Then I stamped the words “sweet” and “Girl” with the Sweet Baby set in Hollyhock ink. After adding some Sparkles to the middle of the flower buttons from the Basic Buttons Assortment Pack, I added them to the letters for a little more cutesie bling. The Hollyhock Twill Ribbon on top sort of reminds me of a little bow in a cute new baby’s hair. (Although when my daughter was a baby, we had to tape a bow on her head if we wanted one in her “hair.” LOL!)

The card is cut short at the bottom to reveal the pink polka dot pattern from the Sweetheart Paper Pack on the inside of the card.

Head on over to the Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog to check out the rest of the Design Team’s adorable creations. Then be sure to add a link to your own baby item created using mostly CTMH materials. You may win a prize at the end of the month or even get the opportunity to be a guest Design Team member! Oh Baby!

  3. I can tell this is your card. Everything is just perfect on it and is absolutely adorable. I love the way you embellish just enough but not too much. Great work!
