Make It From Your Heart “Hugs” Card

| | |

Here is another card that I made for the new Make It From Your Heart publication. I used the red patterned paper from the Stella Collection and stamped the polka dots on white cardstock using the Diverse Background stamp set using Honey and Lagoon ink.

The bracket shapes are from the Enjoy! stamp set and the letters are from the Token Alphabet set. I did a little masking with these two stamp sets in order to get the finished look.

The grey stripes in the center of the banners were created the same way that I created the chocolate stripes on this layout. I simply used my ruler and a grey marker.

The “I love you” on the little tag is from the Keepsake Alphabet set and tied on with some Lagoon Baker’s Twine from the Paradise Collection.

  1. Thanks for sharing this fun card. I must say that you are a magician with a marker and a ruler! I would have never guessed you had make your own striped paper.

  2. Thanks for sharing this recipe! I've had several customers ask about this card, and I was wondering about a few things myself! It's awesome!

  3. Lisa, I love your card. I made it recently with a group of ladies from my church. It's such a great card to minister to a friend. I was stumped on the big red polka dots however. How did you do those. I am sure when I hear the answers I'll think "well, of course" but for now I sure can't figure it out.
Love looking at all your creative work. Thanks for sharing with us.
