Simply Inspired Blog Hop – Seasonal Expressions 2

| | | |

Welcome to another Simply Inspired Blog Hop. This month we are featuring projects made using brand new products from Close to my Heart’s new Seasonal Expressions 2 Mini Catalog. If you arrived here from Debbi Fournier’s blog, then you are in the right place.

I fell in love with the new Wavy Blooms stamp set as soon as I saw it. I used it to create this set of cards. I stamped three flowers onto a piece of White Daisy cardstock with Cocoa Pigment ink and embossed them with Clear Super Fine Embossing Powder. This made it easy to color them in with ShinHan Touch Twin markers.

After coloring in each flower, I cut them out with Micro-Tip Scissors. I stamped the flower again onto a piece of 3¾” x 5″ White Daisy cardstock along with one of the sweet sentiments from the Wavy Blooms stamp set. Then I adhered the colored flower on top with some 3-D Foam Tape. I matted the entire piece to some colored cardstock (Lagoon, Canary, and Gypsy) with more 3-D Foam Tape and then added them to the card bases.
Isn’t the Wavy Blooms stamp set pretty? It has quickly become one of my favorites!
While my markers and stamps were still out on my desk, I decided to try to make some coordinating envelope liners. I colored a piece of ink jet paper with the markers to see if I could create a coordinating color. (The paper I used is from Staples and can be found here.) I didn’t want to use cardstock because I thought it might be too thick to use as an envelope liner. The ink jet paper worked perfectly! After I colored the paper, I stamped some flowers on top in Cocoa ink

Thanks so much for stopping by. Now hop on over to Bren Yule’s blog to see her fabulous creation. If you get lost along the way, you can find a list of all of the participants here.
