Hope Card and Heartfelt Gift

| | | | | |

My thoughtful, creative, heartfelt friend Christine Adams made this incredible card for me. It is so beautiful that I just had to share it with you.

She used one of the cards from the retired Artfully Sent Cricut collection to create the die cut sentiment and wreath on the front. Then she embossed the cardstock using the Damask embossing folder. She adhered a piece of gold glitter paper behind the card front with 3-D Foam Tape. Then she die cut a rolled rose and leaves and used the Gold Shimmer Brush to add some pretty shimmer to the rose. She added a gold heart puffy sticker to the top. I am so in love with this card and so in love with the gift that she gave me to go with it.

Christine made the card to go along with a beautiful necklace that she gave me that was handmade by a young woman in Guatemala who is part of an organization called Trades of Hope. In Guatemala, many children come from homes with abuse and families that cannot afford them. Purchases of items from the Trades of Hope organization help provide a safe home for girls where they are emotionally supported, educated, taught to dream, and also receive English classes! As they become young adults, they have the opportunity to join the jewelry career program. Through these purchases, these young women find their voice and become financially independent! This beautiful silver necklace features a freshwater pearl and a pure silver charm with the fingerprint of the young woman who made it. I will think of her and pray for her each time I wear it.

Isn’t this an incredible gift? Thank you Christine for blessing me and so many others with your thoughtful, heartfelt gift. xoxo

Today is a sad day for my family. My maternal grandmother passed away early this morning. We were in the midst of planning her 90th birthday celebration which will now never happen. She had been ill on and off over the past few years, but I never thought she would pass away so soon. She…

  • Embossed Frame card

Staying true to (my latest) form, here is another simple card. I used one of CTMH’s beautiful metal Foundry Frames to emboss the chocolate cardstock. First I spritzed the cardstock with a little water on both sides. Then I laid it on top of the metal frame. I used my rubber brayer to roll over…
