Valentines Day Shutter Cards

| | | | | | | |

As part of this month’s Creative Design Team’s Video mini series focusing on Sweet Ideas for Valentine, I created some fun shutter cards. Below is the full process video where I walk through all of the steps to make 2 of these cards. I also created a Design Space file with all of the components to make a shutter card. You can find a link to the DS file (in addition to a full supply list) by clicking “show more” under the YouTube video description.

These cards are so much fun to make and not nearly as hard as they look. I’d love to see yours if you decide to make one.

I made this one for my hubby since his birthday is on Valentine’s Day. I thought the cupcakes were fun for both his birthday and Valentine’s Day. I used some paper from the Wood Grain packet and the Months of the Year—February stamp set.

This card uses the Perfect Match Valentine themed collection.
I think this one is my favorite. It can be given to a friend for Valentine’s Day or for any occasion. I used the “Bring Back My Pack” collection called Blossom.
If you do not have a Cricut machine, you can use these measurements:
Outside:
Card base (cardstock): 5½” x 8½” (scored at 2⅛” and 6⅜”)
Front panels (patterned paper): (2) 1⅞” x 5¼”
Belly band (cardstock): ⅝” x 9½”

Inside:

Mat (cardstock): 3″ x 5½” – circle cut with 2⅜” circle die
Mat panel (patterned paper): 2¾” x 5¼” – circle cut with 2⅜” circle die (lined up with cardstock panel)
Shutter pieces (cardstock): (2) 3½” x 3½” (scored at ½”)
Sentiment piece (white cardstock): 2¾” x 3″

❤️ I’d love to see your shutter card if you decide to make one. ❤️
