New Family Member & Reminder of Free Shipping Day
We have a new family member. This little cutie is named Amira. My daughter has been asking to get a cat for years and even though my husband and son also love cats, I have been the holdout mainly due to my allergies. My daughter did quite a bit of research and a little over a month ago she shared a PowerPoint presentation with me addressing all of my concerns. (Even my allergies.) We ended up finding this sweet almost 2 year old kitty named Amira through a rescue and my husband and I decided to surprise our daughter on her 18th birthday a couple weeks ago by adopting her. She was soooo excited!
It’s been about 2½ weeks since we brought Amira home. She is slowly coming out of her shell, but is still a bit skiddish and the literal definition of a “‘scaredy cat.” She seems to have chosen me as her person, although she is warming up to the rest of the family. She doesn’t like to be held and may never be a lap cat, but who knows, after some time she might decide that she likes to cuddle. She loves to play with her toys and will sometimes meow until I follow her to her toys. Then she will put her paw on her favorite toy (a stick with a long string and feathers at the end) letting me know she wants me to play with her. It’s really cute.
