Luxe Foliage Mini Gift Box

| | | | | | |

I’m back with another project featuring the September Product of the Month, Luxe Foliage Designer Series Paper, and this time I’m sharing a sweet little gift box!

I especially loved this beautiful Pecan Pie pattern with the gold foil leaves, but I wanted to add a little more color to the design. So, I pulled out my Granny Apple Green Blends and colored in each of the leaves using both the Light and Dark Granny Apple Green Blends Markers. I love how much of a difference that little bit of color makes! It really brings the pattern to life while still allowing all that pretty gold foil to shine.

Creating the Box

I die cut the box using the Box of Joy Dies and assembled it before adding the decorative details to the front. For the sentiment panel, I die cut the smallest bracket shape from Basic White cardstock and the medium-sized bracket from Early Espresso cardstock. I stamped the “So grateful for you” sentiment from the Lily of the Valley stamp set onto the Basic White piece using Early Espresso ink. I layered the two brackets together with Dimensionals and then adhered the finished sentiment panel to the front of the box.

Adding the Flowers and Foliage

Of course, I couldn’t stop there! I die cut two tiny flowers from Vellum using the little flower die from the Sweet Bugs Dies. I added a soft touch of color to the vellum flowers with the Light Pecan Pie Blends Marker.

For the flower centers, I colored two of the white Adhesive Backed Blooms with the Dark Pecan Pie Blends Marker. I love that you can customize these embellishments with your Stampin’ Blends to coordinate with your project!

For the greenery, I used the little branch dies from the Butterfly Flight Hot Foil Dies and cut them from Old Olive cardstock. And just a quick note: I used the regular cutting dies from this set, so there is no hot foiling on this project. I added a little shading to the leaves with Old Olive Blends before arranging them with the flowers on the left side of the sentiment.

And finally, I had to add the cutest little finishing touch… a tiny snail! 🐌

I die cut the snail from white cardstock using the Sweet Bugs Dies and colored him with Pecan Pie and Bronze Blends. He may be tiny, but I think he adds a whole lot of personality to this little box!

A Little Something Extra

This little box would be perfect for holding a small treat or gift, and I think it would make such a sweet way to let someone know you’re grateful for them.

I love how the Luxe Foliage DSP can look beautiful all on its own, but adding a little color with Stampin’ Blends gives it an entirely different look!

I hope this little box inspires you to look at your Designer Series Paper in a different way and maybe add a little color of your own. Sometimes a few markers and a little creativity are all it takes to make a favorite pattern completely your own! 💕
