A Little Luxe Foliage & Gold Foil

| | | | | | |

I love when a product designed with the holidays in mind can be used for projects all year long! Today I’m sharing a thank you card I created using the Luxe Foliage Designer Series Paper, which is the September Product of the Month.

And let me just say… this paper is GORGEOUS! The combination of the beautiful foliage designs and shimmering foil makes it perfect for adding a little extra something special to your projects.

A Closer Look at the Card

For this card, I wanted to let the beautiful gold details take center stage. I started with a 5½” x 5½” Early Espresso card base and layered it with a Peaceful Pine cardstock mat. For the main card front, I used a piece of Wood Grain Wonders DSP.

The fun part was creating the wreath! I started by stamping the pine sprigs from the Wreath & Wonder stamp set and alternating with the pine sprigs from the Noel Tidings stamp set onto the Wood Grain paper using 2nd generation Peaceful Pine ink. I stamped them in a circle to create the wreath shape. Then I die cut the oval wreath from the Noel Tidings Dies from a piece of Vellum. Because I wanted the wreath to be round instead of oval, I simply cut the wreath into 3 pieces and adhered them in a circle over the stamped wreath on the Wood Grain DSP.

I fussy cut the beautiful gold leaves from the Pecan Pie Luxe Foliage DSP and adhered them with Mini Dimensionals around the wreath. I added additional fussy cut greenery and floral elements from the Peaceful Pine Luxe Foliage DSP to fill in the wreath and give it some added dimension.

For even more shine, I used Gold Hot Foil to create a large “Thank You” sentiment in the center of the wreath. I heat foiled the sentiment from the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies with gold foil onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and then die cut it using the coordinating die. I adhered it to the center of the wreath with two layers of Mini Dimensionals.

To finish off the card, I added a few Peaceful Pine butterflies from the 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies embellishments.

I love how the different shades of green, brown and gold work together. It feels elegant and a little bit unexpected for a thank you card!

Let’s Talk About the Luxe Foliage DSP!

The Luxe Foliage Designer Series Paper is the September Product of the Month, and you can get it for just $5 with a qualifying $75 order!

The pack includes:

  • 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper
  • 12 sheets total
  • 3 double-sided designs
  • 4 sheets of each design
  • Beautiful shimmering foil details

And while this paper is absolutely perfect for fall, Halloween and Christmas projects, I think this card shows just how easily it can be used for everyday cards, thank you cards, birthday cards and so much more.

The gold details pair especially well with Gold Foil Sheets and, of course, Gold Hot Foil Rolls, which is what I used on this card.

Remember, you can get the Luxe Foliage Designer Series Paper for just $5 with your $75 purchase, but only while supplies last.
