My cake video is finally ready. Sorry for the delay. I was trying to figure out the best way to use our video camera to make the video, but unfortunately, the quality isn’t as good as I had hoped. In any case, here it is. I hope it is helpful.
Below are the dimensions I used to cut the pieces for both the small cake and the large cake:
Small Cake:
Bottom: Cut 3 pillow boxes at 3-3/4″ (Hexagons cut at 4″)
Middle: Cut 3 pillow boxes at 2-1/2″ (Hexagons cut at 2-3/4″)
Top: Cut 3 pillow boxes at 1-1/4″ (Hexagons cut at 1-3/8″)
Large Cake:
Bottom: Cut 3 pillow boxes at 9-1/2″ (Hexagons cut at 10″)
Middle: Cut 3 pillow boxes at 6-1/2″ (Hexagons cut at 7″)
Top: Cut 3 pillow boxes at 3-3/4″ (Hexagons cut at 4″)
If you are interested in learning how to make the 3-D flowers, you can check out another video I made here.
If you would like to order the supplies to make one of these fun cakes, you can do so on my website here. Feel free to contact me or post any questions.
I think my camera is fixed now. I changed some settings and it seemed to do the trick. Anyway, here are a few purse books that I made over the past couple weeks. The first one I saw was here on Jan’s Stamps, Paper, Scissors blog. She did a great job explaining how to make…
Here’s a little sneak peek of a couple of new products from the upcoming CTMH 2010 Spring Idea Book. I made this simple card using a new paper packet called Caboodle. You will be seeing more projects using this paper in the next couple of days. (It was the one I was assigned in my…
It’s not too early to start thinking about Mother’s Day. My mom loves the color black so I thought I’d make her a card using Close to my Heart’s new For Always paper packet. I added in a little pop of color with some Lagoon cardstock. To make the card, I cut a piece of…
Here is another beautiful card that we received while my daughter was in the hospital. (You can read more about it here.) One of my sweet team members created this beautiful watercolor card for us. She used CTMH’s watercolor paints on the background and stamped the botanical outlined images from the Good Thymes! stamp set…
As you may have read in my post last week, my motto for 2012 is to “Simplify!” What better way to start than by going through my craft room and getting rid of supplies that I haven’t used in a while (or sadly, some haven’t been used at all.) I simply cannot believe how much…
A few months ago the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group that I was a part of made a bunch of cards that would be sent to military families. The cards were meant for the children of those who are deployed to use whenever they missed their deployed Mommy or Daddy. Most of you who read…
