Frosted Card with a Little Surprise Inside…

| | | | |

I am taking another fun Online Card Class from the awesome gals at onlinecardclasses.com called Insider. It’s all about clever ways to add interest to the inside of your cards. The homework on the first day was to take a card that you had already created and add something fun to the inside. I was happy to find a card that I had already created but hadn’t shared with you yet.

I used Close to my Heart’s Frosted paper packet on the outside along with the stamp sets that comes with the Frosted Cardmaking Workshop on the Go kit and the Frosted Scrapbooking Workshop on the Go kit. I also used one of my favorite new sets called Holiday Tags for the “Merry Christmas” tag.

The snowflake was cut using CTMH’s Artbooking Cricut cartridge. I sponged some Cashmere ink on the edges and then covered it with some Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel. It took a while to dry, but was totally worth it. It’s hard to see in the photos, but it’s got a lot of sparkle. I added a self adhesive gem from the Rosewood Mini Medley Collection to the center of the snowflake.

To add some fun on the inside, I added another snowflake like the one on the front. I used Jennifer McGuire’s idea and made the snowflake pop up when the card is opened. I stamped a sentiment inside from the Merry and Bright set to finish it off.
