Smiles Card

| | |

I was inspired to make my card by this one made by one of my stamping heroes, Jennifer McGuire. Jennifer showed how to use a die to make a fun 3-D sentiment on her card. I improvised and used the “Smiles” image on my Artbooking Cricut cartridge. I cut it out 5 times from a piece of White Daisy cardstock and then cut it out again from a piece of patterned paper from the adorable Babycakes paper packet. I layered them on top of each other to get the great dimension. (It’s hard to see in the photo, but it looks really neat in real life.)

The sentiment and butterfly are from Close to my Heart’s September promotional trio stamp set called You are my Happy. Today is the last day you can get this trio of stamp sets for just $10 with a $50 order. (The trio is great because it comes with an alphabet, a set of cute icon images, and a set of fun sayings.) Contact me or visit my website to get your You are my Happy trio set before they are gone.

  1. Fabulous! I've seen Jennifer McGuire use this technique, but I've not seen a card I like as well as this one.
