Yuletide Joy Embossed Card

| | | | | |
The October Stamp of the Month is so much fun! It is called Yuletide and contains four detailed, adorable, hand-drawn images and three sentiments. Two of the images (outlined in red) coordinate with the retired Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.
I used the gift image and the word “Noel” from the stamp set on my card. I embossed them by stamping the images on Kraft cardstock with VersaMark ink, sprinkling them with White Embossing Powder, and then heat setting them with a Craft Heater. I haven’t heat embossed in a while and forgot how much fun the technique is!

I matted the Kraft cardstock to some Cranberry cardstock with 3-D Foam Tape and attached it to the card base with more 3-D Foam Tape. I colored a few Bitty Clear Sparkles and one regular sized Clear Sparkle with the Carmine ShinHan Touch Twin alcohol marker. (The Clear Sparkles take the ShinHan marker ink so well! I love that I can create any color Sparkle using my ShinHan markers.) After adding the newly colored red Sparkles to the card, I added some fine glitter to the stars with the Shimmer Brush. It is hard to see in the photo, but the glitter sparkles in the light and makes the stars stand out when held at the right angle.

Did you know that you can get this adorable stamp set for just $5? With a minimum qualifying purchase of $50, you can get the set for just $5! Or if you prefer you can get the stamp set at full retail price ($17.95). But hurry because the set is only available through the end of October.
