When Luxe Foliage Takes Flight

I have one more fun project to share with you featuring the September Product of the Month, Luxe Foliage Designer Series Paper! I had so much fun creating this card! The combination of the rich Peaceful Pine pattern, gold foil, and soft green butterflies creates such a pretty, elegant look.

For the top portion of the card, I used the Peaceful Pine Luxe Foliage DSP and added a layer of Gold Foil behind it. For the bottom portion, I embossed Peaceful Pine cardstock with the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder. I love the subtle texture it adds and how nicely it coordinates with the patterned paper. I matted it with Gold Foil as well and then adhered both pieces to a Basic White card base.

Creating the Butterflies

The butterflies are definitely the star of this card! I used the Butterfly Flight Hot Foil Dies with Gold Hot Foil to create three beautiful foiled butterflies. Then I used the coordinating masks to blend Soft Sea Foam Classic Ink onto the butterflies before die cutting them with the coordinating cutting dies.

I popped all three butterflies up with Stampin’ Dimensionals, which gives them a little extra dimension and makes them look like they’re fluttering right off the card. I also die cut two smaller butterflies from Gold Foil using the small butterfly dies from the Butterfly Flight Hot Foil Bundle. I adhered them to the upper left corner using Mini Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches

For the sentiment, I stamped a greeting from the Botanical Expressions Stamp Set in Early Espresso ink onto Basic White cardstock and trimmed it into a banner shape. I layered it onto Gold Foil and popped it up with Dimensionals. A few Golden Glow 2026–2028 In Color Butterflies finished off the card with the perfect little touch of sparkle.

I love how all of these elements work together without making the card feel too busy. The Luxe Foliage DSP adds the beautiful gold detail, while the embossed cardstock, foiled butterflies, and touches of gold foil give the card plenty of texture and dimension.
