A Heartfelt “Thank You” and a “Giving Thanks” Box

| | | | |
Thank you so much for the thoughtful emails and comments on yesterday’s post. I was so comforted by all of the love that you sent my way. Tears welled up in my eyes as I read each of your caring comments and emails. I loved that many of you felt comfortable enough to share your similar stories with me. The technology that we have today, although frustrating at times, is really wonderful. It is incredible how we can share such emotion from one side of the country or even the world, to the other with a simple email or comment on someone’s blog. That is something that my Dad would have loved. Thank you again! xoxo

Being as thankful for all of you that I am, I thought today I would share another “Giving Thanks” Box. A gal from my church asked if I would be willing to do a class for the high school group teaching them how to make a “thankful” box where they could keep their prayers, scriptures, and other notes about being thankful. They wanted to try to keep the cost down to $10, so I took this box and reworked it to create the one below.
I printed the text on my computer using a free font called Chopin Script and cut it out using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. I used one of the papers from the versatile Elemental paper packet, a little Sweet Leaf Stitched Ribbon, a 3-D flower cut with the AP Cricut Cartridge, and a few Bitty Sparkles
The inside has a few scriptures about being thankful, which are also cut out with the AP Cartridge. I hope the girls will like it, but most of all, I hope it helps them remember that they have a lot for which to be thankful, as do I!

  1. Very cute…Chopin is one of my favorite fonts! I'm impressed that you were able to line up the text so well on the cricut, it's so centered.
