Chantilly Artwork Display Board

| | | | | |

One of the projects I made using Close to my Heart’s new Base & Bling Hair Clips was this fun Artwork Board to display kid’s projects. I donated it to the Operation Smile Live Auction and was thrilled to hear that it sold for almost enough to pay for a surgery for one child! Thank you soooo much to the Consultant who won it. I am so grateful for your generous donation!!!!

I started out with a plain wooden board and painted it with white acrylic paint. Then I attached the pink patterned paper from the Chantilly Paper Collection to the front. I created some fabric rosettes with the Chantilly textiles and the new Sparkle & Shine textiles (available August 1st.) I added some small Floral Accents from the new Base and Bling Collection (also available August 1st) to the center of the flowers. Then I added some bling from the new Base & Bling Pink, Teal, and Black Jewels.

I adhered each fabric flower to a new Base & Bling Hair Clip and then adhered them each to the board with a hot glue gun. I used Cricut Craft Room and the Art Philosophy Cartridge to create the words at the top. I finished off the board with some Chantilly Compliments Dimensional Elements. The final project will be a great place to clip and display some artwork, photos, or even those dreaded monthly bills.

I love this idea! I've decided to make one for each of my kids for Christmas. I was wondering if you sealed these after you attached your base paper? I appreciate your help 🙂 Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful projects. I enjoy checking your blog everyday 🙂
