Simply Inspired CTMH New Idea Book Blog Hop

I am excited to be participating in another Simply Inspired blog hop. All of the projects featured in this hop are made using new products from the fabulous new 2014 Spring/Summer Close to my Heart Idea Book. If you arrived here from Lynn Como’s blog, you are on the right path. Welcome!

I fell in love with the new Balloon Ride paper and couldn’t wait to make a project using the products from this Collection. I created this 6″ x 6″ canvas using the Balloon Ride Paper Packet and Dimensional Elements Compliments in addition to a coordinating stamp set called Dreamer. I used a couple of the cards from the Balloon Ride Picture My Life Scrapbooking program as well. (This is a super fun new product that I have fallen in love with. You will most certainly be seeming more projects using this line on my blog in the future!)

I used Mod Podge to adhere all of the elements to the canvas. Stamping on tissue paper with StazOn ink made it easy to add the stamped images to the canvas. After adhering the stamped butterfly to the top of the canvas, I also added an additional butterfly that was stamped onto a piece of Colonial White cardstock. I rolled the wings a bit and added more Mod Podge to give it some dimension. The flower below was created with the Artiste Cricut cartridge by cutting the 3rd flower image (on page 54 of the booklet) at 2″.
